Event Details

Join Susan in the “hotel business.” The plants that you helped us to install on Earth Day have had a chance to get their feet under them. This year, they will sleep and you won’t see much growth. Next year, they will creep, growing a thick root base, and putting up more flowers. In year three, they will leap into vigorous growth, and bees and blooms will be thriving. The plants in the garden are all hosts to both honey bees and many native bees (who are fussy in their diets). Native bees need the natives plants they have evolved with for millions of years. Plant some natives, and come make a pollinator hotel for your garden! All you need is a can—big, small, any size. We’ll provide the “fillings” plus a tube of native bees that will hatch out next spring.
