Tami Calais provides an educational, transparent class that brings clarity, confidence, and peace of mind to families by walking them step-by-step through what assisted living truly is, how it’s paid for, what quality care and communication should look like, and how it can improve a loved one’s overall quality of life. Empowering families to move from confusion and fear to informed, confident decision-making.
In Understanding Assisted Living, we walk step-by-step through the five most common questions families ask:
What is assisted living, really?
We break down what assisted living provides, how it differs from independent living, memory care, and skilled nursing, and who it’s designed to support.
How do people pay for it?
We cover private pay, long-term care insurance, veterans benefits.
Will my loved one be well cared for and respected?
We discuss staffing, dignity, autonomy, safety, and what quality care should look and feel like beyond the brochure.
What should communication look like?
From family updates to care conferences, we explore how healthy communication between staff and families builds trust and reduces anxiety.
Does quality of life actually improve?
We address the emotional side of the decision, socialization, loneliness, daily engagement, purpose, and whether moving can truly enhance well-being.
