Presented by Nutritionist, Emily Penn of Ripple Wellness.
Mental health challenges have been on the rise for years now, and despite all of the interventions available, people aren’t getting better.
A growing body of research is revealing the connection between what we eat and how we feel. We are beginning to understand that nutrient deficiencies are often seen in mental health conditions, that chronic inflammation plays a large role in mood disorders, and how optimizing certain biomarkers (like thyroid hormones or iron levels) can provide a drastic benefit to those struggling with their mental health.
This workshop will dive into:
- Common nutrient deficiencies that impact mental health
- Other health factors that can influence feelings of anxiety and depression
- The mismatch between our brain and our current environment
- How to support your mental health with your everyday food choices
