Event Details

Read aloud your original or favorite work, and listen to monthly featured poets. All ages welcome.

6:15 - doors open

6:25 - readers final sign-in

6:30-7:45 - poet reading

General Guidelines:

  • Reading Room will open at 6:15 p.m.
  • Readers must sign in by 6:25 p.m.  
  • Poetry readings will begin by 6:30 p.m.
  • Readers may use original poems (preferred) or favorites
  • Order of readings will be commensurate with sign-in sheet
  • Each reader will have 3-5 minutes to read depending upon total number
  • Observer feedback / comments will open after the final poet has read

Guidelines for Readers:

  • Poems should not contain language unsuitable for family, e.g. profanity, sexually explicit
  • Time limitations will be strictly enforced to ensure all readers can participate
  • As a courtesy, please remain present until the final poems are read
