Program Description

Event Details

Join us for our series designed to equip library advocates with the skills and tools to make a meaningful impact. You’ll learn to define your advocacy goals, craft compelling messages, understand your audience, and effectively tell the story of your library’s value. Whether you’re new to advocacy or looking to strengthen your efforts, these classes will offer essential insights and practical exercises to help you champion the important role libraries play in our communities.

This session will focus on Media Planning and Outreach

Engaging traditional media—such as newspapers, radio, television, and related online news outlets—is an important tactic, but one in which advocates often lack confidence. This session will review the key steps involved in traditional media outreach and tips for speaking with the media.
